An Exceptional Gap-Year Experience for Future Clinicians and Healthcare Leaders
For more than a decade, Vein911 has employed outstanding college graduates who spend a year or more with us before taking the next step in their education.
Many have gone on to medical school and physician assistant school, while others have pursued nursing, public health, healthcare administration, business, and other graduate healthcare programs.
What they share is curiosity, ambition, and a desire to understand healthcare from the inside before beginning the next chapter of their careers.
This Is Not Shadowing.
You will not spend your year standing in the corner watching medicine happen.
And although many participants work as medical assistants, the experience goes far beyond performing MA tasks.
You become part of the Vein911 clinical team.
Depending on your role and training, you may:
- Work directly with physicians throughout the patient journey
- Learn how venous and lymphatic disease is evaluated and treated
- See how vascular ultrasound influences clinical decision-making
- Assist with minimally invasive office-based procedures

Vein911 Founder Christopher Pittman, MD, FAVLS, FACR, FACP (Hon) has maintained a longstanding role in academic medicine while building Vein911 and continues to hold a university faculty appointment.
