Realizada durante un per\u00edodo de dos a tres semanas, esta terapia presenta una combinaci\u00f3n de masaje manual y vendajes de compresi\u00f3n dise\u00f1ados para mover el l\u00edquido a lo largo de los vasos linf\u00e1ticos. Despu\u00e9s de eso, usar\u00e1 medias de compresi\u00f3n durante el d\u00eda para controlar la hinchaz\u00f3n, as\u00ed como una bomba de compresi\u00f3n neum\u00e1tica ajustada en la pierna para estimular el drenaje de l\u00edquidos en casa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; background-color: transparent; text-decoration: none; font-size: 11pt;\">Adem\u00e1s de la hinchaz\u00f3n y el malestar, el linfedema hace que la pierna sea susceptible a infecciones, por lo que se le aconsejar\u00e1 que cuide bien su piel y evite cortes y moretones. Al igual que con la IVC, los ejercicios ligeros reducen la acumulaci\u00f3n de l\u00edquido y la hinchaz\u00f3n. Los diur\u00e9ticos no curar\u00e1n el linfedema.
